But not a good one. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but your question doesn't ask about right and wrong, it asks why he doesn't do X. If you, in fact, don't do X, it's probably not that mysterious why Taber doesn't do X.
I hope they voted against. The professor would do much better, for others as well as himself, to maximize his life expectancy and donate heavily to an effective charity. See givewell.org for some good research on charities.
