reflections in philosophy of psychology, broadly construed
Sometime last week, my blog and academic website passed a million hits since I started tracking in 2006.
Congratulations! I have been following your blog for the past year and I enjoy it very much.
I don't mean to deprive you of any hard earned joy you may have from this statistic but a large percentage of those figures stem from web-crawlers (or 'bots'). Regardless, Eric you have a terrific blog and I'm glad you decided to stay with UCR for the time being.
Thanks for the kind words, Anons!Anon 03:03: That's a legitimate concern, but I don't think it's mostly bots. Of the last 100 visits, for example, 84 appear to be from legitimate links from other web pages or search engine searches in which my site lists high. Of the remaining 16, what percent are from bots I don't have the expertise to guess.
